United Bankers acquires Fondita

Following the share purchase agreement signed today, United Bankers Plc has agreed to acquire a majority of the outstanding shares of Fondita Fund Management Company Ltd with the aim to acquire the whole company.

Despite the change in ownership, our nearly 30 years of expertise in actively managed equity funds will remain unchanged, in the hands of your familiar portfolio managers and client relationship managers. Our entire team is motivated and committed to continuing under the new owner, also as shareholders.

The combination is a positive step forward for Fondita and together we create an even stronger Finnish asset manager. Our expanded joint resources will enable us to also offer comprehensive wealth management solutions to our clients.

United Bankers’ expertise and network complement exceptionally well the work we have built together with you over the years. Through the combination, our offering will expand from equity funds to also include fixed income and alternative investments, as well as comprehensive wealth management solutions.

The transaction does not require any action from your side, as your fund investments and contact persons will remain unchanged.

The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority.
