Invest wisely

Three easy steps to invest in our funds.

Who is it for?
Fondita’s funds are open for investments from private individuals, companies, organisations and foundations.

Step 1

Get to know our funds!
We offer eight different equity funds that invest their capital in shares of listed companies. The first step is to choose which fund you want to invest in. All funds have their own strategies, fact sheets, fund rules and prospectus, which you need to take note of before making your decision. Here you can also see the differences between A- and B-unites.

Step 2

Customer identification
For regulatory purposes we are required to identify our clients.

Step 3

Make your transaction
Become a customer directly with us or through your platform if you are already investing in funds elsewhere.

Make a transaction of the desired amount to the fund’s subscription account. The subscription accounts for the funds are listed here.

As a private individual, you are required to enter your name and social security number at the time of purchase.

If you represent a legal entity, you need to state the legal entity’s name, corporate identity number and whether A- or B-units are to be subscribed to.

Subscriptions that we receive before 14.30, Helsinki time, are calculated on the same day. The fund company has the right to reject a subscription or subscription assignment if we have not received sufficient deposit information. The subscription note is sent to the address that has been stated in connection with the payment.

Current client

Great to have you onboard!

Time to increase you investments?

As a current client, you can easily increase your investments in Fondita’s funds through an bank transfer to the selected fund’s account. The following information is required: name and social security number or name of the legal entity, company and corporate identity number (FO number) and whether A- or B-units are to be purchased.

Time to sell?

You need to notify the fund company in writing of the sale (redemption) of fund units. To ensure that your instruction has reached us, we will confirm receipt by replying via email. Please note that if you have not received a confirmation from us by email, please contact the fund company again, at the latest before the cut-off time at 2:30 PM Finnish time. If we have not received the notification within the specified time, the instruction will automatically be moved to the following day.

Redemption orders received no later than 2:30 PM Finnish time are executed at the unit value calculated in the fund company on the same banking day. The execution of a redemption order requires that we have been able to identify the customer as required by anti-money laundering legislation, which, among other things, requires that the information provided on the customer information form is correct. The redemption amount is paid on the following banking day if the fund company does not need to sell securities due to the redemption. A confirmation of the redemption is sent to the customer.

In certain circumstances, the fund or the management company may be required to use appropriate liquidity management tools (‘LMTs’) to ensure the proper processing of redemptions. Further details can be found in the fund rules in the prospectus.

About investment funds

The benefits of investment funds

A fund invests financial assets in several different securities that together form an investment fund. The fund is divided into equal fund units, where all parts have the same right to the fund’s capital.

The fund is owned by the private individuals and institutions that have invested assets in it. The fund is managed by a fund company that represents the fund’s unitholders and acts on their behalf in matters concerning the investment fund.

Many benefits

An investment fund has many benefits. Professionals with expertise make the investment decisions, monitor and follow the developments. Because the fund’s assets are invested in many different securities, the risks are reduced, and you get a good distribution of the risk. You can quickly invest in or redeem fund units, which provides good liquidity. Through regulatory supervision, you are also guaranteed good protection as an investor.

Taxation in Finland

Interest income and gains arising from the sale of securities are tax-free for the investment fund.

For those who own return unites, the distributed return is taxable capital income. For those who own growth unites, income is realised and taxed only when the fund units are sold.

Switching between funds is regarded as a sale.

Invest for a minor

It is perfectly possible to save in our funds for a minor. To establish a customer relationship for a minor, the customer form must be filled out with the details of the minor who will become a customer at Fondita. In this case, the PDF version of the form must be used. The customer form should be signed by all legal guardians. Copies of passports of all legal guardians, as well as of the minor, are also required. The customer form and the copies of passports should be sent to Fondita, for example by email (info@fondita.fi) or by mail.

A grandfather, grandmother, or another external person can also invest for a grandchild or another minor. However, the form must always be signed by all legal guardians, who thereby give their consent to the investment.

The subscription is transferred to the account of the selected fund, and in the message field of the payment, the personal identity number of the minor recipient should be indicated.

Subscription confirmations and all correspondence related to the minor’s customer relationship are sent to the legal guardian(s). If a grandfather, grandmother, or another external person wishes to access information regarding the minor’s fund portfolio, a power of attorney is required.

Here you can find the customer form (PDF).
